During the entire service life of a vessel, legislation calls for regular maintenance and modification. Schraven offers you overhaul and service world-wide. We provide for all vessel transmission components; Azimuth thrusters, pump-jets and bow thrusters of every brand and size, and of course, the complete navigator sets and control systems. We have almost all components, from gears and bearings to propeller shaft retainer rings and more in stock. We therefore rarely have to wait for parts. We can start work right away.

An overhaul means that we completely dismantle and thoroughly inspect your propulsion system or component. Worn or damaged parts are replaced with new or reconditioned components. The system is then reassembled and extensively tested in our workshop. This ensures that your installation operates optimally again and is ready for intensive use. 

The frequency of a rudder propeller overhaul depends on usage and load conditions. We recommend periodic maintenance to prevent failures and extend the service life of your installation. Overhauls are often advised after a certain number of operating hours or when a noticeable decrease in performance occurs.

Yes, we carry out overhauls both in our workshop and on site. Our technicians are equipped with mobile tools and expertise to perform overhauls of marine propulsion systems and thrusters worldwide. This is ideal when a vessel cannot be relocated or when fast service is required.
