A thruster inspection is about more than checking bearings and gears. We also inspect critical components such as the steering tube flange, where correct alignment and tolerances are essential for reliable operation.
During this AQM901CRP project, the steering tube flange was found to be out of tolerance. Thanks to a replacement flange available from stock, we completed the emergency repair quickly and minimized downtime.
After successful commissioning, the thruster was back in operation and the river cruise resumed service.
